HONDA BIKES

2008 Honda Bike.
The 2008 Model Honda CBR1000RR Fire blade:
Honda is always trying to find the right balance between outright track performance and real world street-ability. Honda has reverted to a more oversquare bore/stroke combo with the new engine now utilizing 76mm x 55.1mm bore/stroke versus last year's 75mm x 56.5mm arrangement. It sports eight new lightweight 30.5mm titanium intake valves and a slightly higher 12.3:1 compression. In the past the knock on the CBR was that it didn't have the bite to back up the bark.

The new bike feels slimmer and the bars is very easily reachable. This will be offered in four colors: Red/Black, Black/Metallic Silver, Pearl Yellow/Black, Candy Dark Red/Metallic Silver and one stunning, limited edition Black/Metallic Grey.

The standard 133bhp motor has been made more powerful with a host of parts designed to conform with World Super sport regulations. Stronger clutch springs and a high pressure oil pump to keep the engine properly lubed under the stresses of racing. The cylinder head gains new camshafts with longer duration but standard lift, and new springs and cam sprockets are required to fit the cams. As standard the R6 is fitted with variable length inlet tracts to optimize airflow into the injectors at all points in the rev range. A racing ECU comes with modified ignition and a base fuelling map (plus the software to change it), and a cable is available to attach the bike to a computer for set-up changes. A lightweight wiring loom does away with extraneous connectors for road-going parts and a connection point for 2D Data logging kit.
